It also includes more minigames, chapters for the game's side story, and a dating system for the story. The game expands the infamous 'Witch Checking' system of the last game by adding more animations and allowing players to check anyone (including random classmates). Still not very encouraging for new players though. Interestingly, most of the worst bugs happened in the first portion of the game, so when you punched through that, it got better. Maybe the games are just hard to make patches for, but I remember one part where I had to disable the patch (fortunately I didn't download a hard patch version) so I could buy a for Kazuya (the main hero). It's great to play them in English, and the translation patches aren't BAD.but they're some of the buggiest patches I've ever played. Then again, I never got past Chapter 2x.But if we're going to go into 'bad patches' then I have to mention 1 and 2. Oddball =/= Bad.Also, I didn't realize that the translation was bad. I particularly like, as well as the one below.edited 4th Aug '11 12:21:53 AM by Barrylocke. But the Romancing Saga games have some REALLY awesome songs. I'd played the Final Fantasy Legend games a bit (which is in japan, and the first iterations of the series) but I didn't care for them. It's kinda like, in that it's a strategy rpg in terms of how you move the characters, but when two opposing units (which really represent teams, except for the Dragon characters who fight alone) meet up, they fight a round of traditional JRPG combat.EDIT: And I didn't know the Romancing Saga games had translation patchs. I was going to mention Bahamut Lagoon, but I'm not a big fan of it. Possibly because many of the ones I would say, like and 6, are now available on in America.SNES:Sailor Moon: Another StoryDS:Also, even though is available on the GBA in both America and Europe, IMO you're doing yourself a disservice if you play that version instead of the PSX version, which has a translation patch as well (and an alternate patch on the way.one day.) Technically the SNES version is patched too.but I really prefer the PSX patch, as well as the PSX version itself.edited 3rd Aug '11 8:44:44 PM by Barrylocke. For some reason, I can't think of that many even though I play a lot of patched games.
Note that Fire Emblem 2 also has a translation patch.Anywho. Fire Emblem 4, 5, 6 and 12 if it gets one that finishes, 3 if it doesn't.Any others? I want to avoid things that eventually did get a release (Persona 2 part 1) or (knowing Atlus), have a high chance of getting one eventually.edited 3rd Aug '11 8:41:27 PM by deuxhero. What else should I check out while I'm at it?Current thoughts. Well, I figure I'm set on biting the bullet on emulation for games that didn't come to the US thanks to 's ass hating (The Wii 3 and ) of recently.
